Making

1

Preparation

picture

Fold the cotton fabric in half and run stitches as shown in the diagram. Cut the corners and turn the fabric inside out from the opening. Fold and press the seam allowance to the wrong side and close the opening using ladder stitches. Leave an approximately 10 cm opening; turn the fabric inside out and iron the fabric.

2

Transferring the design

The cloud design is a running pattern of 15.5 cm square. Draw a 31 cm square outline. Print out the cloud template and copy the design four times so that the pattern appears continuous. Copy the dragon pattern using the diagram as a guide.

3

Stitch

Run stitches on the copied pattern design. For a pattern design that has many curves such as this, use a shorter needle and make a few stitches at a time.
